Tammy Holder serves as the Senior Director of the Center for Agriculture & Food Security (CAFS) at Convoy of Hope. With a heart for service and a deep commitment to stewardship, Tammy works to connect farmers, educators, and partners in ways that strengthen food security and support communities around the world.
A Foundation in Agriculture and Education
Tammy’s background is rooted in agricultural education and hands-on farm management. Her experience includes:
- Teaching agronomy at College of the Ozarks
- Working across diverse farm operations, including:
- Dairy
- Beef production
- Feed mill
- Agronomy systems
- Equipping students with practical, real-world agricultural skills
She also earned her Master of Science in Crop Physiology from University of Arkansas, with a focus on forage production. Her academic and hands-on experience continue to shape her commitment to community impact through excellence in farming systems management.
Strengthening Agricultural Income Expansion
In her role at CAFS, Tammy helps lead agricultural initiatives that make a meaningful difference:
- Providing training and education for farmers in the United States
- Supporting smallholder farmers internationally with practical, appropriate technology methods
- Connecting farmers, educators, and partners around the world to share knowledge and resources
- Promoting responsible land stewardship and long-term agricultural income expansion
Tammy views her work as a calling. She serves with humility, walking alongside farmers while learning and growing together, with a desire to see communities strengthened both practically and spiritually.
