Highlighting the Work of Pioneer Bible Translators’ Deaf Ministries Team – Featuring Noah Spikes
Pioneer Bible Translators is actively serving some of the most overlooked communities in the world—those who are both Bibleless and churchless. Among these are Deaf communities across multiple nations, where access to Scripture and discipleship resources is still extremely limited.
One of the team members helping lead this effort is Noah Spikes, who serves with the organization’s Deaf Ministries Team. Noah works closely with Deaf teammates who are passionate about making God’s Word accessible in Deaf heart languages and building sustainable systems that support long-term impact.
Meet Noah Spikes
- Loves spending time outdoors with family and sharing coffee around a campfire
- Deaf Team Agriculture & Business Development Specialist | Pioneer Bible Translators
- Serving with Pioneer Bible Translators for four years — first as a recruiter, now on the Deaf Team
- Married with two sons; together they enjoy life as a farming family in Texas
- Works to support Deaf-led Bible translation and discipleship, focusing on agriculture, business development, and Farming God’s Way
- Passionate about teaching sustainable farming, empowering local leaders, and helping communities thrive both spiritually and practically
A Strategic Role in Agriculture and Business Development
Noah currently serves as the team’s Agriculture and Business Development Specialist, as well as Interpreter. His focus includes:
- Deaf-led business development
- Sustainable agriculture initiatives
- Training through Farming God’s Way principles
These efforts are now active in seven countries, with expansion planned into two additional nations by 2026, Lord willing. The goal is not just to assist communities but to equip and empower local believers to lead and multiply impact from within their own cultural and economic contexts.
A Mission That Combines Scripture Access and Practical Transformation
The heart of Pioneer Bible Translators’ work is to see lives transformed spiritually and practically. Missionaries and team members live among communities, disciple local leaders, and help establish structures that bring both gospel access and sustainable livelihood.
A Call for Skilled Workers in Many Fields
A pressing need has emerged within the agriculture and business development sector: men and women willing to serve overseas full-time, using their skills to strengthen communities through sustainable, for-profit ventures.
In addition, the organization currently has over 600 open roles worldwide. Opportunities range across many fields, including:
- Agriculture and business
- Bible translation and literacy
- Accounting and administration
- IT, media, and logistics
- Sports ministry, education, and more
There is growing momentum within the Deaf Ministries Team, and the door is wide open for those who feel called to serve, support, or connect. Anyone interested in exploring involvement with Pioneer Bible Translators or learning more about the Deaf Team’s initiatives is encouraged to ask questions, pray, and consider how their gifts might be used globally.
Our Role for Collaboration with Noah: Let’s consider at FCFI whether we can find FFA youth interested in missions and disciple/mentor them into this type of ministry. We go to 30 different states FFA conferences.
Together, the Body of Christ can bring Scripture, sustainability, and hope to communities still waiting.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, learn, pray, and then find agricultural ministry candidates for Noah and mentor them. Find out how to get involved.
