Young Man’s Testimony Shines at FFA State Convention – by Jeff Goss

Jeff Goss and Max Barker

Deep in the heart of Texas at the recent FFA State Convention, we were blessed to meet a remarkable young man whose heart burns brightly for the Lord. Max Barker, a student from the Sam Rayburn FFA chapter, stopped by our booth and shared his inspiring journey of faith and calling.

Max’s story is a powerful reminder that God is stirring the hearts of the next generation. Growing up in church, Max often saw the peace his parents had through their faith, but it wasn’t until he watched The Case for Christ that he truly understood his need for salvation. At just eight years old, he prayed and surrendered his life to Jesus.

His testimony didn’t stop there. In 2023, Max joined a mission trip to Honduras that profoundly impacted him. It was there that he felt the Lord calling him to become a missionary. After much prayer, Max returned to Honduras recently, where local missionaries encouraged him to intern next summer. Following his graduation, Max plans to return and serve as a full-time missionary.

We’ve been honored to pour into Max during this convention, and in turn, he’s blessed us with his passion, humility, and devotion. His story stands as a testament to the fact that God is still raising up young people who are on fire for ministry and eager to share His love with the world.

Please join us in praying for Max as he prepares for this calling, and for Texas, where we’re witnessing revival and fresh passion among these students. Stay tuned—we’ll continue to share more updates as the convention unfolds.
