Urgent Call for Volunteers

Subject: Urgent Call for Volunteers – Tornado Relief Effort in Greenfield, Iowa

Dear Members of the Fellowship of Christian Farmers International,

We are reaching out to you with an urgent call for assistance. Recently, Greenfield, Iowa was struck by a devastating tornado, causing severe damage to the farming community there and leaving many of our fellow farmers in dire need.

Impact and Response: The tornado has wreaked havoc on homes, barns, silos, and fields, tearing down fences and scattering debris across the landscape. To address this crisis, we are coordinating a relief effort in partnership with the Future Farmers of America and No Excuse Disaster Relief.

Upcoming Missions: In addition to our efforts in Greenfield, we are also planning a mission to Canadian, Texas, and the Oklahoma panhandle to assist with fence rebuilding following recent wildfires. We encourage volunteers to sign up for this crucial mission as well, particularly if you live in this area.

Advance Team Leaders Needed: We are also looking for individuals who can lead advance preparation teams to assess the needs on the ground. This role involves identifying key areas where our efforts can have the most impact and coordinating with local contacts to streamline our disaster response.

Call for Volunteers: Your participation is vital. Whether you can contribute through physical labor, logistical support, or by helping to organize our teams, every bit of assistance makes a significant difference. If you are available to volunteer, please let us know at your earliest convenience so we can organize our efforts effectively.

Support from Afar: For those unable to join us on-site, we still need your help. You can assist by making phone calls to coordinate with local farmers, helping to arrange the loan of necessary equipment, or organizing food and lodging for our volunteer teams.

Equipment Needs: We are in need of UTVs/side-by-sides and other equipment to aid in our relief operations. If you can provide or help us source these items, please reach out.

Our collective strength and faith are our greatest assets in times of crisis. By coming together, we can demonstrate Christ’s love and support for those in need.

In moments like these, we are reminded to ask ourselves: WWJD – What Would Jesus Do? Let us embody His compassion and dedication to helping others.

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact us. Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to our mission.

In Christ,

Dan Janzen
