Tornadoes Pound 6 States: 70 Dead

Last night, a devastating tornado hit Mayfield, KY around 9:30PM, causing major damage and killing as many as 50 or more people, many in a candle making factory, running shifts 24/7 to get product out for Christmas.  Warm temperatures in December usually signal severe weather, with as many as six states hit with tornadoes and strong thunderstorms with damaging winds.

The Fellowship of Christian Farmers is already planning disaster relief trips to the Mayfield, Kentucky area, with Area Leader Mike Weaver heading to Benton, KY tomorrow or Monday.  Mike lives in Eldorado, IL, only about 70 miles from Mayfield.
