Dan holds a master’s degree in agronomy, international agricultural development, and extension education from Oregon State University. He grew up on a diversified fruit, vegetable, grain, grass seed, and Christmas tree farm in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. He has worked for Michigan State University Extension Service and has served as a missionary with Child Evangelism Fellowship. Dan served as an agricultural missionary living in East Africa for eight years and has traveled four continents teaching and consulting in agricultural and community development initiatives.
