Serving in a Time of Need in Central Wisconsin – by Scott Fischer

In the aftermath of a heavy snowstorm that swept through Central Wisconsin, local FCFI members demonstrated the love of Christ through timely and compassionate service.

The weight of the snow caused a shed on a local property to collapse, leaving a difficult and overwhelming situation behind. Equipment was damaged, debris was scattered, and the task of recovery seemed daunting. For the owner, the challenge was even greater as she continues to grieve the recent loss of her husband.

Moved by her situation, FCFI members quickly stepped in to help. With servant hearts and a willingness to meet both practical and emotional needs, the team worked together to clean up the collapsed structure. They carefully removed debris, sorted through damaged items, and secured the equipment that could be saved.

Though some losses could not be avoided, much of the remaining equipment was saved. Beyond the physical work accomplished, the presence of caring individuals brought encouragement and comfort during a very difficult season.

Moments like this reflect the true mission of FCFI—coming alongside those in need and being the hands and feet of Christ. In a time marked by loss and uncertainty, this simple yet powerful act of service became a reminder that no one has to walk through hardship alone. This is how we at FCFI demonstrate the love of Christ to our neighbors.
