Celebrating 2024: A Year of Faithful Service and Evangelism
As we enter into a new year, we have much to celebrate. Last year, Fellowship of Christian Farmers International (FCFI) participated in over 125 evangelistic events and shows, sharing the gospel and distributing an incredible 60,000 walking sticks. Region 8, under Bill Brown’s steadfast leadership, contributed about half of these efforts—a testimony to the dedication and hard work of this incredible team.
Despite the greatly missed loss of Steve Brown, Region 8 has shown remarkable resilience. Christyne Brown and others have stepped up with unwavering commitment, embodying the spirit of teamwork and faith. I’m continually inspired by the steadfast dedication of Bill and Kathy Brown, whose lives exemplify the biblical charge: “Let us not grow weary in doing good” (Galatians 6:9). Their leadership motivates us all to continue fulfilling the Great Commission.
Looking Forward expanded blessings in 2025
As we enter 2025, I encourage everyone to press on in this vital work while seeking to invest in and mentor the next generation of workers. Discipleship is a natural extension of our evangelism efforts, and I challenge each of you to explore creative ways to foster deeper connections. Whether through in-person follow-ups, phone calls, or online tools like QR codes and Zoom meetings, we can build relationships that lead to lasting spiritual growth.
One exciting area of expansion is our work with Future Farmers of America (FFA). These young agricultural leaders hold incredible potential to grow into gospel-centered influencers. I envision mission trips that connect rural and urban youth for evangelism and discipleship, such as our annual outreach in Shiprock, New Mexico, where we share Christ’s love with the Navajo community. Let’s dream big—taking teams during spring breaks or holidays to expand this ministry while fostering connections between FFA members and inner-city youth for transformative projects like urban market gardening and discipleship programs.
Global Missions and Rural Development
Our ministry also looks outward, toward the global stage. Many rural farmers in less developed countries face tremendous challenges, and we have an opportunity to support them with practical solutions and spiritual encouragement. By leveraging tools like WhatsApp for knowledge sharing and mentorship, we can equip rural Christians to improve farm productivity while engaging them in the Great Commission. Imagine the impact if we connect ordinary volunteers with rural overseas farmers to collaborate on farm planning, financial management, and problem-solving! Together, we can empower these farmers to maximally participate in the Great Commission and begin to reach out to other countries as a result of a new found excellence standard found through Farmer-to-Farmer advisory partnership.
A Call to Action
As we reflect on this past year and move into the next, I encourage you to consider how God might be calling you to deepen your involvement. Whether through prayer, volunteering, or financial support, your partnership is essential to the success of FCFI’s ministry. Let’s continue to sow seeds of faith—both literally and spiritually—trusting God for the harvest to come. If God has spoken to you through this article to step out in faith and become even more strategic in using your special giftings, abilities, talents, work experience, education, etc. please reach out to me at 6166766684 or email me at dan@fcfi.org. We need your help to do mission trips with FFAers and start the discipleship ministry as well as expand our evangelism outreach.
