Reaching the Next Generation at FFA State Conventions

FFA State Conventions bring together students who are passionate about agriculture, leadership, and their future careers. These gatherings also provide valuable opportunities to encourage young people in their faith and introduce them to the hope found in Jesus Christ.

Jeff Goss represented Fellowship of Christian Farmers International (FCFI) at the Washington State FFA Convention, where he had the opportunity to preach and present the Gospel to convention attendees. His involvement allowed students to hear a message about faith and consider how their relationship with Christ can influence their lives and future in agriculture.

Jeff also attended the Louisiana FFA Convention alongside Susan Free. Together, they connected with students and introduced them to the ministry and mission of FCFI.

The Texas State FFA Convention presented an unexpected challenge. Convention management did not allow FCFI to exhibit inside the venue. However, Jeff Goss and the Free family did not let this setback stop them. Instead, they set up along the street outside the convention and took the opportunity to talk with students as they arrived and passed by.

What initially seemed like a closed door turned into an unexpected blessing. By moving their outreach outside, they were able to connect with even more students than they might have reached through an indoor exhibit.

These experiences are a reminder that ministry opportunities do not always happen as planned. Sometimes, an unexpected change opens the door to something even greater. Through their flexibility and willingness to serve, Jeff, Susan, and the Free family demonstrated that there are many ways to reach young people with the Gospel.

God does provide!
