Proclaiming the Gospel at the 2026 Susquehanna RV Show – by Michael and Karen Steele

The booth was set up and ready for people to stop by and hear about their blessed Savior Jesus Christ!

Our new camping ministry focus is dedicated to sharing the message of salvation through Jesus Christ with those who enjoy gathering around a campfire. Whether at a campground, a private campsite, a cabin, a cottage, or even in someone’s backyard, the outreach seeks to bring the hope of the Gospel to people in relaxed, welcoming outdoor settings.

We attended the Susquehanna RV Show held at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds in Bloomsburg. Despite bitterly cold temperatures during the three-day, predominantly indoor event — with Saturday’s high reaching only 10 degrees outside — prospective RV buyers still came out in strong numbers.

It turned out to be a joyful and fruitful event. Many people stopped by the outreach table to learn more about the mission and purpose. The volunteer team included Michael and Karen Steele, along with Ernie Reese, who faithfully represented the outreach throughout the show.

One of the most exciting moments of the event was praying with an individual to receive Jesus Christ into their heart and life. It was a tremendous blessing to witness a life touched by the Gospel.

Throughout the weekend, approximately 20 Campers Wordless Hiking Sticks were given away. In addition, visitors received campfire-themed cord lock bracelets, gel bracelets, zipper pulls, necklaces, and bookmarks — all designed using the Wordless Bible colors. With each item distributed, the message of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ was also shared.

During slower moments, the team built meaningful connections with neighboring vendors. These conversations opened doors to share the message of salvation in a natural and personal way.

At one point, a team member shared the Gospel with the young daughter of a vendor located directly across from the table. The vendor’s mother listened attentively from their booth. Afterward, she warmly complimented the team, expressing how clearly and thoughtfully the message was communicated to younger audiences. She even suggested that the outreach consider visiting libraries to read to children — a heartfelt affirmation of the team’s ability to connect with young people.

This year’s Susquehanna RV Show was organized by Amber Jones. For her first year coordinating the event, she did an excellent job. She occasionally stopped by the outreach table, and it was a pleasure getting to know her. The entire Susquehanna RV Show staff proved to be gracious and high-quality individuals, and the team appreciated the opportunity to interact with them throughout the weekend.

Each experience brings greater confidence and comfort in ministering at RV shows. Many RVers have shared how much they appreciate having Sunday morning services available at campgrounds. Several even expressed that, given the choice between a campground with a Sunday service and one without, they would always choose the one offering worship. Knowing that a Christ-centered presence is available and actively sharing Jesus is both encouraging and meaningful to them.

Following are some great photos of the interaction of the staff with the people!

The three days at the 2026 Susquehanna RV Show were truly a blessing. We are always grateful for the opportunity to proclaim the wonderful name of Jesus and to share the incredible truth that the Son of God died on the cross so that we could be made clean and stand before the Creator of the world.

Thank you for your continued prayers and faithful support.

God bless you all — and Lord Jesus, come!
