John 4:14
but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
| Hot summer days. Sometimes a drink of refreshing water is all you long for! Like the little children above, you want to dive right into the water and take a nice long drink. Jesus tells us there is water you can drink in which you will never, never thirst. Notice this second verse. This water given to us by Jesus is a spring of water that is within us and brings eternal life. This Living Water is not earned by us. It is a Gift from Jesus. With earthly water, we must get it ourselves and it’s benefit is only temporary. But Living Water that the Lord places inside of us is permanent and the benefits are eternal. Just like earthly water verses Living Water, we can make our relationship with the Lord temporary or we can get very close to the Lord and have an eternal relationship with Him. Drink from the fresh living water of God welling up inside of you that will bring you eternal life! If you want that spring of water to well up in you, ask Jesus to give you that water and you will not ever thirst again because the water He gives will spring up within you bringing eternal life. Lord, we thank you for giving us water from the well within us so that we will never thirst again. Prayer Requests!
