Prayer Guide and Devotional – September 1, 2024
Ezekiel 36:25-27
I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
| The Lord’s promises endure forever. Over 2500 years ago the Lord spoke to the Hebrews and told them He was going to wash the people clean. He was going to sprinkle WATER on them and all people that get this wonderful water will be CLEAN. This cleansing is a total cleansing of our spirit and our soul. This is a way down cleansing that our bars of soap, our body washes, and our wet wipes can never reach. This cleansing will be so strong and so drastic in each of us that what the Lords calls our hearts of stone (our human hearts filled with anger, hatred, and other things offensive to God), will be removed from us and a true heart of flesh given by God will replace it. And one of the greatest things is the Lord tells us He will place His Spirit, the Holy Spirit (also known by many as the Holy Ghost) into each of us to help us live lives totally committed to the Lord. We will live lives pleasing to God. We will be clean from the dirt and impurities that offend God and will live an amazing life in oneness with God! When will this happen? It may have already happened in you!! Lord, Your love for us has been there from the very beginning. You hurt because we reject You, we reject Your Son, and we reject Your Spirit. But You have always loved us and never abandoned us. Thank You for telling the world that You have a salvation plan in place to help us all spend eternity with You. I love You, Lord!! Pray that politicians in America will go back to thinking of and acting on the needs of the people and not of the wants of the individual and that all politicians will think and act as Godly people wanting to enact laws according to the Lord’s ways.
