Prayer Guide and Devotional – October 8, 2024

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,

The Lord had wonderful things planned for us humans until sin entered the world and muddied up the waters. Yes, Satan will do everything he can to disrupt what the Lord had intended to be good for us. The big thing that was muddied was marriage! Satan knows if he can take the attention and pure desires man should have for his wife away from the husband that he could destroy what the Lord had intended for good. That is why the Lord needed to reiterate to the husbands to “Love your wives!” Lack of love will destroy your relationship. Men can focus very easy on other things in their lives like fishing, hunting, work, cars, and more. But husbands, we must make the Lord our number one focus. And as we work to please the Lord we will love and show love to our wives every day of our lives. Some men may think showing love as a sign of being weak. But just the opposite. A man able to love and show love to his wife is a very strong man. And the Lord reminds us that this love was demonstrated by Himself for all of us by His love for the church (body of Christ.) And He reminds us all that He was showing His love for us all when He gave Himself up to death on a cross. Men, love your wives, as Jesus loved the church He died for!! Follow the Lord’s lead and watch the relationship and blessings you have with your wife grow!!
Lord, help me to show my strength to You and to my wife by breaking down any barriers that may keep me from loving my wife to the fullest. Help me to give the time to her she deserves and help me to be a blessing to her. You gave us to each other to be one in mind, heart, body, and soul with You Lord!!

Prayer Requests!
There are many events out there that FCFI is not able to get a tent or booth at due to lack of manpower or financing. Pray the Lord will supply witnesses to go out to these events and for the financing to come through to provide the needed materials and application fees.
