Prayer Guide and Devotional
Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Wait on the Lord. Have patience. So often people pray and ask the Lord for something. Then, they see no response. We often take no response as the answer no. But, in reality, no response is no response. The Lord will answer in His time. He is trying to teach us to have patience (longsuffering). He is trying to teach us to “wait on the Lord.” The Lord is there and He is in control. And when we start to develop our patience in the Lord, we will not grow weary and we will not grow tired. Worry and impatience leads to becoming full of fear. When we wait on the Lord, we know the Lord has heard our prayers and He will handle it as it should be handled and in the right time it should be handled.
Lord, help me to develop patience. Help me to wait on You. Help me to run and not grow weary. Help me to walk and not grow faint. And Lord, help me to mount up with wings like eagles knowing You are with me every second of every day and that I can get over, around, or through any obstacle the enemy sets before me. You are my God and You are the ruler of all the world. I love You Lord!! In Jesus name, Amen!
