Prayer Guide and Devotional – May 5, 2025
Ezekiel 37:4-6
Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ ”
| The Lord God is absolutely amazing! No, I did not just realize that. The Israelites had been dispersed as a nation and were very depressed. The Lord took Ezekiel to a valley full of dry scattered bones. He then had Ezekiel speak to the bones. The bones then came together and formed bones, muscles, and tendons of men. Then, the Lord had Ezekiel speak to the vast collection of bodies to breath. Ezekiel, on the Lord’s command, prophesied to the vast army to breath, and what was once a valley full of dry bones, was now a vast army that came back to life! The Lord spoke to the Prophet Ezekiel and told him the Lord was going to raise the people of Israel up, make them a nation, and take them back to their own country. The Lord was using this as a lesson for Ezekiel to take back to the Israelites. The Lord has the power and ability to give back to the Israelites what they lost or was taken from them. They are not to be distraught and depressed. They are to know that the Lord loves them and is making them a mighty nation once more. If the Lord God would protect and take care of His children back then, He will certainly take care of His children today. Attention all of you who have received Jesus into your heart and life, you are the chosen and the blessed by God and He will protect and take care of you today. Do not doubt the Lord. Do not force Him to have to bring spiritual life back into His children. Call out to God that you are His and you want to live an amazing spiritual life proclaiming the greatness of God! You are strongly encouraged to read all of Ezekiel 37! Lord, You are absolutely amazing. That You could bring a valley full of nothing but dry bones back together again and give them life is astounding. And to think You love me just as much as You loved the Israelites humbles me. If You can give a tremendous future to the lost and dispersed people of Israel, You will give me an awesome future as well! May it be devoted entirely to praising Your Name!! In Jesus name, amen!!
