Prayer Guide and Devotional
1 Corinthians 1:10
Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Sometimes you can watch an awesome dance recital and see a great number of people moving or dancing at the exact same time in the exact same way acting as one. Just think of the time and practice it took to accomplish that and how amazing it looks. The Lord tells us as Christians we should have that same type of oneness in our righteous thinking and acting according to His Word in our lives with other Christians. There should not be any division among us. When it comes to clean and righteous thinking and living we should be as one and not at odds with each other. But so many of us will “interpret” the Word of God in a way as to make the lifestyle we want to live in the flesh as acceptable to the Lord. Read your Bible. Get into the Lord’s Word. Go to Him in prayer and ask Him to help you live exactly as His Word tells us to. Carry this like mind with your Christian brothers and sisters at all times. This occurred back in Paul’s time and it happens today as well.
Thank You Lord that I can be so in tune with You that I can speak the same thing as You are! Help me to be so perfectly joined with you that like the dancers in the picture above we are in perfect harmony. I thank You that we can be of the same mind and judgment as You are, the Creator of the world. Thank you Lord, in Jesus Name, Amen!
