Prayer Guide and Devotional – March 20, 2025

Jeremiah 1:6-8

“Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.  Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

The Lord has called you. You feel His hand and want to obey. But you feel so inadequate. Jeremiah felt this back in the Old Testament just as we feel it today. Whether it is from being young in age, or feeling you cannot speak in public, or that you lack training. You want to obey but yet you want to run and hide. The Lord prepares those He sends out. He does not just randomly choose people and send them out to sink or swim. He told Jeremiah that he was personally chosen by the Lord and he must go out and preach what the Lord places on his heart. Jeremiah is not to be afraid. If the Lord is sending him out, the Lord is with him and will defend him. If the Lord is sending you out, the Lord is with you and will defend you!! Don’t be afraid. Don’t try to hide. Want to get ready? Pray yourself up, get in tune with the Lord, and develop a closer relationship with the Lord. You will experience highs and lows. But the Lord will always be with you and defending you. Remember, you are accomplishing the Lord’s goals and He will make sure you succeed.
Lord, thank You for preparing me to do Your work. You give me what I need to succeed and will defend me because You choose me! I must realize I am doing Your work and that You are preparing the way for me to deliver Jesus’ message of love to the lost. I love You Lord!! In Jesus Name, Amen!!
