Prayer Guide and Devotional

Esther 4:14

For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

My wife often has told me I was born at a good time. She said if I was born during the wild west days, with my sense of humor and ability to pick on people and have fun, she said I would have had to have a quick draw and a fast horse to stay alive. Nobody knows why they are born into the era that they are in. But the Lord does not make any mistakes. Esther was born at a time where she could save the Jews that were in captivity to the Persians. Esther and her uncle, Mordecai, save the King from assassination and win his favor. Then, Esther proceeds to save the Jews themselves from destruction. All this was accomplished by one young lady willing to step up and take a chance. Why were you born at this time? Why do you live where you live? Just maybe the Lord has some work for you to do for Him. Did Dan Janzen (and his wife Theresa), Executive Director of FCFI, see himself leading such a fantastic ministry for the Lord before he accepted the position? Again, nobody knows why they are here at this time. But, since you are here now, be like Esther and make the best of your time and serve the Lord with all your heart, mind, body, and soul!! Just like Esther, stand up for the challenge the Lord has placed before you and make a difference in a crumbling world,

Lord, I do not know why I was born onto this earth at this time. But I trust that You have things for me to accomplish for You. Help me to stand up and serve You to the best of my ability. Help me to be a good diplomat for Lord Jesus and share His salvation message with the world around me. I love You Lord!! In Jesus Name, Amen!!
