Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
| Often when we think of handiwork, we think of something made by a person whom is a master at their trade. That piece that they make is their masterpiece and many people really enjoy that piece. It can be a painting, pottery, a song, someone’s flower garden, a staircase, or even a building’s architecture. This is the way it is when the Lord creates us. He is the master and we are His masterpiece. When others look at us what do they see? Do they see the Master’s Handiwork or do they see what WE are trying to create of our self? Do they see someone trying to lovingly represent Jesus to the world around them? Or are they seeing someone that is very self centered and thinking of themself? When we allow the Lord to work in our life, He will guide us to finish the work that He made us for! Oh Heavenly Father, I am Your masterpiece. You created me for a reason. Help me to get closer to You. Help me to become one with You. Help me to wonderfully represent Lord Jesus Christ to the world around me. I ask that people would not see and hear me but they would see and hear You. Guide me to do good works. And please let all glory and honor go to You! In Jesus name, Amen!!
