1 Peter 2:2-3
As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
| As much as newborn babies desire milk, we should be desiring to learn more about the Lord.Babies are constantly desiring more milk because it helps them grow. If newborns could speak they would ask, Got Milk? We should, just as much, desire the pure milk that is the Word of God. Just as milk helps babies to grow stronger each day, each day the Lord strengthens our spirits as we read His Word. And when we taste that wonderful Word of God we want more and more! And no matter what age we are, a nice cold glass of milk is so refreshing. And no matter how new or how long we are in our walk with the Lord, His Word is always so refreshing to our souls! So the next time someone asks you “Got Milk?” You can hold your Bible up very high and say “Right here!!!!” Lord, Your Word is such nourishing and powerful food to my spirit and my soul. Life can be so busy and these busy times often will pull me away from what I need most in this world, You. Help me and remind me often to take time, not just in the morning and not just at night, but all throughout the day to stop and open Your Bible and read pure and refreshing spiritual water into my entire being.
