James 4:8
| Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Have you ever seen two people walking around talking? They are getting to know each other better. They are sharing thoughts and opinions and they are becoming closer friends. The Lord wants us all to come closer to Him. God does not want us to ask Jesus into our hearts and lives and then remain distant from Him. The Lord tells us when we come closer to Him, when we read our Bibles, when we talk to the Lord in prayer, when we sing songs of praise and worship to the Lord, we are drawing closer to God. Each is one step up that ladder and getting closer to our God. We can become God’s children but still not get to know Him. At the moment we receive Jesus, the Lord views us as a true child of His and He wants to get closer to us!Take the next step up that ladder in getting closer to God. Come closer to your God today. Shout out to Him “Lord, I am Your child and I love You and want to get closer to You!!” Watch how close you can get to the Lord and see what a wonderful relationship you can have with Him! Lord, help me to draw closer to You. Help me to get to know You. Help me to become one with You. I love You Lord and want a fantastic relationship with You all the days of my life!!
