Prayer Guide and Devotional
Matthew 25:34-36
Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
We might say “Was that Jesus every time I took care of someone?” Jesus tells us yes, that was Him. Not in bodily form but He sees us reaching out to those in need. He is there as one with that person in need. Jesus sees when we give kindness out to others and He sees when we refuse kindness as well.Jesus is so in-tune with the downtrodden of this world that He is one with them as well. When we do good for a purpose such as financial gain, we have already gotten our reward. But when you do good and expect nothing in return, the Lord sees this act of kindness and will bless you for having Jesus’ heart for people. So the next time you visit a stranger in prison or who is sick, or you give someone a meal who is hungry or a drink who is thirsty – you are not only taking care of that person, you are taking care of Jesus!! Show Jesus how much you love Him by showing random acts of kindness to people that cross your path everyday. Forward this email to a friend today!! Prayer Requests!
