Prayer Guide and Devotional
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
When we share the Wordless Bible beads with people, we use the black bead to describe sin. This is because, as the Lord tells us, we are living our lives in the darkness of our sins. So often we cannot even see our sins or realize we are sinning. Oh, how wonderful it is when we come to Jesus and receive Him into our hearts and lives! The Lord describes it like a moth coming out of the darkness (of our sinful lives) and into God’s marvelous light (the truth and awesomeness of a perfect and loving God). God has been waiting for us to come to Him. We are His chosen people and considered by God as a royal priesthood (spiritual leaders among the people). We have become “God’s own special people.” Feel free to shout out the well deserving praises of Jesus as often as you can!! Oh thank You Lord for opening my eyes to the life of sin I was living and helping me to realize I was hurting my family and friends, all those I meet each day in this world, and especially myself. Thank You for bringing me out of that awful spiritual darkness and into Your wonderful eternal life giving Light!! Thank You Jesus for paying for my sins on the cross. May I always be a good diplomat for You to all those around me. In Jesus name, Amen!!
