Colossians 1:17
He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
This new year is rushing forward. People are taking down their Christmas decorations and are returning to work and school. The world returns to the boring, hum drum, and redundancy of every day life. Or does it? God’s Word tells us that He, Jesus Christ, holds all things together. The joy, peace, and hope that permeates the world during Christmas is still with us. Jesus is that hope that holds all things together. The key is not to lose sight of who holds it all together: That joy, peace, and hope that we felt during Christmas. Don’t just focus on Jesus during the Christmas season. Focus on Jesus every single day of your life!! He does not let go and He does not go away. He is here. His Spirit remains. Remember this as you turn to the reality of the world without the outward signs of His joy, peace, and hope. The beauty of the Christmas season is still right there within us. It is in those of us that have Jesus in our hearts. That wonderful Spirit of Christmas can remain in our hearts year round, because He is still with us holding all things together. Yes, Jesus is the glue fastening us tight to our Lord God!! You have got THE GLUE don’t you? Have you asked Jesus into your heart and life?? Lord, help us to remember that You are always with us. When we received You as our Lord and Savior, You came into our hearts. The peace, joy, and hope we felt when we received You is still with us, because that peace, joy, and hope is You. Thank You Lord! In Jesus name, Amen!! Prayer Requests! Please pray for Ms Tanner. She is early 90’sand is considering voluntarily transitioning to Assisted Living.
