Galatians 4:6
And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”
| When we were young we had such a close relationship with our mothers and fathers. Everything they did was perfect. We felt so comfortable and safe when with them and especially when held by them. When we receive Jesus into our hearts and lives we are at that moment spiritually adopted into God’s family. We have become adopted sons and daughters of our Most High God. And because we are now part of God’s family, God has placed His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, into our hearts. Now, our spirit looks to the Lord God as our father as we once looked to our biological parents. Our spirits call out Abba, or Daddy, to the Lord. Yes, we become that close to the creator of the universe! That is how much God loves us. God does not have that close of a relationship with any other being on earth. Only us humans can be so close to Him so to have such an intimate relationship with the Lord. Get closer to your God today. Call out Abba, or Daddy, to the Lord right now and feel a peace and joy you can get nowhere else!! Lord, sometimes my stubbornness keeps me from getting closer to you. Sometimes I forget how close You allow me to be with You. Thank You for allowing me to be part of Your family and allowing me to spend eternity with You in Your paradise home. Help me to draw as close to You as possible so our hearts beat as one! Thank You Lord! In Jesus name, Amen!! Prayer Requests! The world needs to see God’s love demonstrated in extraordinary ways.
