Prayer Guide and Devotional – August 14, 2024
Acts 26:16
‘Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me.
| As the Lord’s children, Christians today have many wonderful experiences of how God is working in their lives. We also will hear others tell of how the Lord is blessing them and touching lives around them. The Lord is telling us here in Acts not to keep all those special moments to ourselves but to share them with the world. Here is an example of the Lord coming to Paul and the purpose of His coming is to have Paul get up on his feet and get moving. The Lord has work for him to do to be a witness of all that he sees. This specific verse is when The Lord shows Paul that He is Jesus. Notice, the last words of the sentence, a witness of what you have seen and will see of Jesus! This is exciting as it shows that our experience with the Lord is not the end but that we are to share with all those around us what we have seen the Lord do to and for His people and that there will always be more experiences to share. We have to get up and stand on our feet and DO as the Lord asks which is to be witnesses of His great miracles and messages! Are you on your feet ready to serve and witness today? Have you got your megaphone ready?? Lord, use me as your servant. Help me to stand on my feet and continue to witness for You. Not just one time, but continually as You direct me. I Praise You Lord that You have given me all I need to serve You. Thank You so much! Prayer Requests!
