Prayer Guide and Devotional
Romans 13:1-2
Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.
Very often people will complain about who may be in the various political positions at the time. But we must remember the Lord placed those people into those positions of authority. And the laws those people create, if they do not go against the laws and ways of the Lord, we are to abide by them. And that means all of them, even when we do not feel like it. We have our travel trailer at the RV Service Center right now. It is being inspected. The laws tell me I must have it inspected once every year. I know of people that do not abide by this law. They feel they do not have to honor that law. The police will never see a tiny missing up-to-date inspection sticker on that huge camper. That law does not go against the Lord, so we must abide by it. Remember, the Lord backs those politicians and it was Him that placed them in office. When we resist the law, we are resisting the Lord’s own ordinances.
Lord, I do not always understand why certain people are placed in positions of authority. But, I am trusting that You have placed them there. I will continue to pray for them and even now, Lord, I ask Your blessing on all those that are in positions of authority in all levels of government. In Jesus Name I ask, Amen!!
