Prayer Guide and Devotional – June 12, 2023
1 Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear
What is the hope within you? When the Lord God is sanctified in your heart , your hope is Him! When someone asks you how you can remain calm in difficult times and not worry as things seem to be getting worse, what is your answer to them? When others ask how is this possible, how do you answer? The key to answering with meekness is that you have asked Jesus into your heart and you have such a close relationship with Him, that you do not fear, but you have peace and hope. So much hope and peace in fact that it spills out that others can see and then want it as well. Being a witness is when someone asks you how you are so full of hope and peace that you tell them about the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ.
Lord, we ask you to give all of us the courage to be witnesses for the hope and promise that is within us. In Jesus name, Amen!!
