Prayer Guide and Devotional – August 15, 2023
Acts 10:33-35
So I sent for you immediately, and it was good of you to come. Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to tell us.” Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.

Cornelius was a leader of the Roman soldiers stationed in Israel. He was deemed an enemy by the Israelites because Rome controlled Israel. Yet, here was a Roman Centurion that believed in the Jews God and prayed to Him and offered alms often. The Lord sent an angel to tell Cornelius to send men for Peter. Peter came and met with Cornelius and his entire household. They were anxious to hear the Word of God! This stunned Peter. It taught him that the Lord accepts every person in every nation on earth as long as they love the Lord and fear Him and do what is right in the eyes of God. When we are out witnessing in the FCFI tent we are to never look at someone as not being able to be saved. Lord Jesus died on the cross to pay for the sins of the entire world and the entire world needs to hear the Gospel of Lord Jesus. It is awesome how the Lord turned Peter’s way of thinking around to realize the Lord loves all people. Let us also remember the Lord loves all people today and wants nobody to perish in their sins.
Lord, sometimes we see someone who has tattoos or seems not so clean. We look at them and think they want nothing to do with You. Yet we must remember every lost soul is searching for the peace that only You can provide. Help my heart to be right and share Your love with every soul I come across and never judge them. It is always so awesome having a new brother or sister come into Your family!!
