Galatians 1:16
I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood,
So often when we have a issue on our minds and we could go in various directions, we want to talk to someone about the problem. You know, kind of bounce it off them and see what they think, how they feel, or what they recommend. So, you go looking for a friend who you feel you can trust. But often we do not go to the one we ought to go to about the issue – God. In this Bible verse the Apostle Paul realizes he has to go right to the Father with his questions. Paul knows this is something really important and he knows if he goes to imperfect man about it he will get imperfect man’s opinion which might not be the right answer. Why run the risk of getting bad advice when you can get a perfect answer. Take a little quiet time and talk to God about what is on your heart and let Him direct you on what you should do or how you should handle it. He knows you better than you know yourself. After all, He created you and has a plan for you! God will give you the answer you seek.
We all get to crossroads in our lives where we need encouragement and direction. Take some quiet time today and talk to God about all that is on your heart. Then sit back and be quiet and give Him a chance to respond!
