Prayer Guide and Devotional – June 29, 2023
I Chronicles 15:16
Then David spoke to the leaders of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers accompanied by instruments of music, stringed instruments, harps, and cymbals, by raising the voice with resounding joy.
Do you play an instrument? Use that instrument to praise the Lord! If you don’t play an instrument, use your voice and sing to the Lord. That is what worship is all about! Notice the the Lord is encouraging us to raise our voice with resounding joy! Don’t worship the Lord as from duty. Sing to the Lord as a joyful expression of your love for God! The singers were accompanied by the instruments. Do you still feel like this is beyond your reach because you do not play an instrument? Turn on the radio to a good Christian music station or put in a good worship CD or stream some good Christian music and sing along! There are so many ways today to get your accompaniment. Sing like no one is listening! Oh but wait, the Lord is listening to us sing our praises to Him, and He loves it! That is what resounding joy is! Know that the Lord is listening and enjoying your worship. We know that God loves us because He sent Jesus to pay for our sins so we can spend eternity with Him. Now, let God know just how much you love Him by singing and dancing to Him!!
During the day praise the Lord with an instrument and/or your voice in thanks for all He does for us! Turn the worship music on and shout out joyful praises to the Lord!
