Galatians 1:15
But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace,
Very often, after someone has heard the wonderful Gospel message of Lord Jesus Christ, the message of His life, death on the cross to wash away our sins, and His resurrection, people will make the decision to pray to Lord Jesus and ask Him into their hearts and lives and commit their lives to Him. Many people at that moment will break out a huge smile. They realize how real of a moment it is and how great it is to come to God. But people do not realize, the Lord has chosen His people from the start. We are called by His Spirit and it is His Holy Spirit we are responding to. And all this was done ……….. before we were even born! The Lord had this call placed on your life to join the Lord’s family. That your spirit would be open to the move and call of the Lord. Wasn’t it your own doing to stop at that Christian Farmer’s tent giving out that walking stick they were using to share the Gospel? No, your spirit was finally responding to the Lord. And that call of the Lord’s was due to His abundant grace. Grace is when the Lord gives to each of us when we do not deserve it. Through His grace, He calls His family to Himself!!
Lord, thank You for choosing me and calling me into Your family. Before I was ever born You knew me and Your call was on my life. That is a great and awesome responsibility. Help me to grow closer to You each and every day, oh Lord, to really know You better, and to have such a tight and wonderful relationship with my creator! Thank You Lord! In Jesus name, Amen!!
