Isaiah 53:11
He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.
The Bible tells us that Christ Jesus, the perfect Son of God, died on the cross to wash away the sins of every person that has ever lived. This is so very true!! A lady and her daughter in her late teens or early twenties entered the Fellowship of Christian Farmers tent several years ago. The mother was very upset that her son was murdered just a year prior, and that his murderer, though in prison, could go to heaven. It is true. Her son’s murderer can go to heaven. His sins were taken to that cross as well. But we do not receive that gift of eternal life in heaven without action on our part. We must come to Jesus, humble ourselves, and receive Jesus into our hearts and lives for what He did for us on that cross. We each must receive Jesus’ free gift! In this verse, the Lord speaking to us through Isaiah, tells us how He sees the righteous act of Lord Jesus dying on the cross and the Lord is satisfied with that act of love as payment for our sins. However, He tells us that the sins of MANY people were bore on the cross, not all. Why not all as is also stated? Yes, Jesus died for the sins of all mankind but, the action by us to personally receive Jesus into our hearts is needed and many people will refuse to receive Jesus as their savior. Though Jesus died for all, many will reject His free gift to them. In reality, even though Jesus did die for the sins of the entire world, many will receive Him and be saved. But not all.
Lord, You confirmed Jesus was coming and that He would bear the iniquities of the world. Thank You for letting the world know this was by Your hand and that, even back then, You were already concerned about me and loved me to the point that You were making a way for my sins to be washed away from me. You knew we all must face punishment for all of our wrong doings. And You loved me to the point of Your Son’s death on the cross! Thank You Lord! In Jesus name, Amen!!
