Prayer Guide and Devotional
Galatians 1:24
nd they praised God because of me.
What an amazing thought. Paul does not say they praised Paul because of God. No, the people praised God because of Paul. The world today falls into the trap of the devil that encourages themselves to be the one everybody should be looking to and praising. Look how sports stars, movie stars, TV stars, and music stars all need the spot light to be on them. Paul was high up in the Pharisees before he started preaching Jesus and then become very well known afterward as a Christian. He could have wanted all the attention. Yet, he did not want the peoples eyes and attention on him. Paul was preaching Lord Jesus and His death on the cross and His resurrection for our sins. Paul was not preaching Paul. We all need to learn from this today. Your words and your lifestyle should be directing all praise to Lord Jesus. Any and all changes in our lives are solely due to Lord Jesus coming into our lives and turning them around. Let your life be a walking billboard proclaiming the greatness of God. Regarding children, people used to say they should be seen and not heard. They should be respectfully quiet. As Christians, we all should be heard and not necessarily seen. People need to hear our praises to the Lord but not look to us as if we are the life changers. Are people praising God because of you??
Lord, I want people to sing Your praises when they look at me. Help my life to proclaim Your greatness to all that see me. It is Your life and death and resurrection that saves me from my sins. Your message of life because of what You did is the reason those around me are praising You. It is about You, not me. We praise You Lord! In Jesus name, Amen!!
