Prayer Guide and Devotional – January 23, 2024
Galatians 6:8
If you follow your selfish desires, you will harvest destruction, but if you follow the Spirit, you will harvest eternal life.
It truly is amazing how different the ways of God are verses the ways of the world. We are reminded that those two ways are not only extremely different, but maybe even exactly opposite. The ways of the world are always driven on what benefits that individual. The ways of the world do not care about other people. The ways of the world are not necessarily based on truth, but based on what that person wants to believe, with or without proof or witness to back it up. The ways of God are just the opposite. The ways of God tell us to be servants and not the served. The ways of God are based on forgiving others, loving others, and being humble. The ways of God are based on His absolute truth, not on worldly lies. The father and the driving force for living a worldly life or a life of destruction is the devil. With this life style you will not harvest eternal life but eternal death. The father and driving force for living a spiritual life is God. By inviting God’s Spirit to rule and reign over our lives, we are lead to an abundant and wonderful eternal life in heaven (A life of extreme love, no war, no disease, a world of light and colors!) It is up to each of us whether we want to live a Godly life under the authority of Jesus or a worldly life under satan’s authority leading to eternal destruction. Is your harvest a Godly and abundant harvest as shown above on the wagon, with produce being beautiful, crisp, and full of life? Or is your harvest a worldly harvest showing rot and destruction as the world is, produce that is spongy and full of worms? Choose Jesus! Choose life!! Go ahead, harvest eternal life!!
Lord, I want to follow Your desires and not my own selfish desires. You are the only way in which my harvest can be full, beautiful, and bring eternal life. Direct me that this harvest of eternal life will spill out to others. Thank you Jesus for the eternal life that you give to me and others, when You are chosen to lead my life. In Jesus name, Amen!!
