Prayer Guide and Devotional – January 22, 2024
Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.”
Though this statement from the Lord was directed to Isaiah, it was not a personal directive to Isaiah. This statement or request from God goes out to everyone. The Lord was calling out to all people asking who will deliver His message to the world? Who would be willing to respond to the Lord’s call? It takes sensitive ears to hear the Lord’s call. You will not see it on TV or hear it on the radio or find it on Twitter or Facebook. What a person hears relates directly to the spiritual condition of the person. Those that keep their distance from the Lord will hear nothing. Those that maintain a close relationship with the Lord will be the ones most likely to hear the Lord calling out asking them to deliver His message to the people of the world. Isaiah called out “Here I am. Send me!” Are you hearing the call of God? Is your heart and your spirit one with the Lord? Get on your knees and lift your hands in the air. Look up to the skies toward the Lord’s heavens. Tell him you are willing but question your own abilities. The Lord will let you know. It is not you who are opening the hearts to receive the Lord’s message. You are delivering the message. He is opening the people’s hearts!!
Lord, bring me closer to You, make my spirit and my heart sensitive to Your call. Lord, Here I am, send me! Thank You Lord! In Jesus name, Amen!!
