Prayer Guide and Devotional – january 6, 2024
Galatians 1:1
Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead—
Remember yesterday? Peter was wanting to follow Jesus but Jesus told him not now. Look how things worked out for the Apostle Paul. He waited and in God’s time Paul was prepared for his Godly mission, sent out, and accomplished so much for the Lord. Paul was reminding the Galatians that he was not authorized and sent out under man’s authority. Especially not under his own authority. He was ministering to the Galatians as directed to by the Lord and under the power of the Holy Spirit. He was telling them his authority is Lord Jesus Christ. You cannot get any higher authority. Look at the power around the person in the picture. That is how God’s authority will work with you, also. With Paul being sent out to minister by the Lord it tells them that he was not there teaching the doctrine of man but the doctrine of God. Ask the Lord to set up and authorize your ministry so you will know everything will work out perfect. Be sent by God, not man!!
Lord, I know if I try to serve you under my own authority and under my own power that my mission will fail terribly. I place all that I am in Your hands, Lord. Mold me as clay and You tell me how I can serve You best. Please Lord, You be my authority and fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank You Lord! In Jesus name, Amen!!
