Prayer Guide and Devotional – June 22, 2023
1 Peter 2:2-3
As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
As much as newborn babies desire milk, we should be desiring to learn more about the Lord. Babies are constantly desiring more milk because it helps them grow. If newborns could speak they would ask, Got Milk? We should, just as much, desire the pure milk that is the Word of God. Just as milk helps babies to grow stronger each day, each day the Lord strengthens our spirits as we read His Word. And when we taste that wonderful Word of God we want more and more! And no matter what age we are, a nice cold glass of milk is so refreshing. And no matter how new or how old we are in our walk with the Lord, His Word is always so refreshing to our souls! So the next time someone asks you “Got Milk?” You can hold your Bible up very high and say “Right here!!!!”
Pray that people all over the world will desire to read the Word of the Lord every single day!
