Prayer Guide and Devotional – December 14, 2023
Luke 1:28
The angel went to her and said, Greetings, you are highly favored! The Lord is with you,
Mary was visited by an angel of the Lord! The day of the world’s salvation was getting close. Everything in life is a process. This is the same with the Lord. He had a plan laid out how salvation was to come to this sinful world and step one was about to occur. An angel came to the virgin. The angel did not want her to fear. After all, this was a great thing that was to happen to her. The angel tried first to help Mary feel at ease. He stated “Greetings!, you are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” If you have received Jesus into your heart, the Lord would appear to you and say “Greetings, you are highly favored!!” The Lord’s Son died a horrible death to free the world of their sins and an eternity in hell. If You have accepted His Son as your replacement on that cross, you also are now highly favored by the Lord. The Lord wanted Mary to feel at ease while He explained to her how her child was going to be so special!! We all should feel that same ease.
Lord, You are an awesome God and a special God. Thank You so much for sending Your son down to this dirty world. Jesus was born a human child, Yet He was still God!! I love it when a plan comes together. Thank You Lord! In Jesus name, Amen!!
