Prayer Guide anbd Devotional – November 14, 2023
Luke 10:20
Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
The seventy-two disciples that Jesus sent out to share His gospel message had returned. They were so excited to share with Lord Jesus what they said, what they had seen, and what they heard. The walk back must of felt like forever with all that inside of them anxious to get out and to share with the Lord. After long walks for all, they get back and excitedly share the amazing things that occurred as they shared Jesus. It is at that point that Jesus reminds them all, do not let what you witnessed be the thing that makes you rejoice so much, but rejoice that your names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life in heaven. He was reminding them that the most important thing was that they had a right relationship with the Lord. If their names were not written in heaven, if they had never had that right relationship with Jesus, they would have been in just as bad a position as those that have never heard of Jesus or worse yet, have heard about Jesus awesome love for the world, and had rejected Him.If your name is written in heaven, if you have received Jesus into your heart and life, you too can do as the Lord told the seventy-two, rejoice, your name is written in heaven! You have a close and special relationship to our Lord!!
Lord, I thank You so much for making known to me Your love and Your death and Your resurrection for me on the cross. I am so blessed to be part of Your family. May my eyes always be open to Your miracles that occur around me and realize that is Your power and love in action. But thank You so much for saving me from an eternity away from You in hell. Thank You Lord! In Jesus name, Amen!!

Pray for Doug. He found out he has thyroid cancer. He is believing it is only a temporary set back.
