Prayer Guide and Devotional – November 1, 2023

John 16:33

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

When you look at this world today, this world is full of trouble. There is disease, war, murder, hatred. The one thing that everyone lacks is peace in their life. People are in a constant state of fear because they lack peace. During the 1960’s peace was trivialized and seen as do your own thing. That is not the peace Jesus is talking about. Look at the Bible verse above and the picture. Jesus tells us all that He had to die on the cross for the sins of the world and that He would rise from the dead proving Him to be the true Son of God so that in Him, we may have peace. Jesus has overcome the world! He is giving us His light so that we may have peace. We have an action to take in order to have this peace. We must abide in Jesus Christ and in His light. That is the only way in which we can have His peace. Jesus has overcome the troubles of the world, and that includes the troubles in your life. Listen to the things He tells you, so that you can have peace even during troubled times. Do not pass on this opportunity to get the peace of God in your life. When Jesus offers it, it is tremendous! Tell everyone about His tremendous blessing of peace. It is available to the world, because of what Jesus did on the cross. Jesus has overcome the world!

Lord, without You in my life, I have no peace, the troubles of this world weigh me down. Let me focus on these things You have told me. You have overcome the world! I accept Your light into my life and heart. I accept your peace. Thank You Jesus! In Jesus name, Amen!!
