Prayer Guide and Devotional – October 21, 2023
1 John 5:11-12
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
It was in the news that in the late 1990’s 90% of the American adult population identified themselves as being Christian. By 2007 that number dropped to 78% of Americans identifying themselves as being Christian. Today in America, only 64% of adults identify themselves as being Christian. Many believe, by just being a good person, they will go to heaven. They do not believe and do not care about Lord Jesus. God reminds the world that He has created all humans to have life after they are done on this earth. Either eternal life with God in paradise of heaven or eternal life away from God in the dark horror of hell. And the only way that anybody can get to heaven is by accepting the truth and reality of Jesus existence and His death and resurrection. People do not want to believe this. They want to get to heaven on their terms. But God says there is only one way to heaven. And Jesus is the way! If you have received Jesus into your heart and life, you have God’s promise of eternal life in heaven. If you have NOT received Jesus into your heart and life, you DO NOT have that eternal life in heaven. Come to Jesus today! God bless!!
Lord, I know, I believe, and I have received Jesus into my heart! I know there is only one way to heaven. I can never be good enough, I cannot buy my way into heaven. I can only get to heaven because of and through Jesus eternal life saving gift! Thank You Lord! In Jesus name, Amen!!
