Pete Singer’s tent is ready for sharing the gospel
As we reflect on this year, Proverbs 16:9 has served as a guiding truth for us: “The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.” This scripture has deeply resonated with us as we’ve experienced God’s hand in unexpected ways. At the start of the year, we filled our calendar with planned events, ready to engage with communities and share the gospel. Yet, for the first time, some long-standing events we’ve attended were canceled because Christian ministries were no longer welcomed. While this saddened us, we trusted that God had other plans and would direct our steps toward opportunities to glorify Him.
In September, our faith was further tested as Sandy faced three necessary eye surgeries. We carefully scheduled these procedures around key events, ensuring our largest outreach, The Sunbelt Festival in Georgia, would remain a priority. However, nature had its own plans. Hurricanes and tornadoes disrupted the region, forcing the second surgery to be rescheduled—right during the week of the Sunbelt Festival. Once again, we adjusted, trusting that God’s timing would prevail. Sandy’s final surgery is now planned for two days before Christmas, ensuring no conflicts with events. These moments reminded us that even when our plans are disrupted, God’s timing is always perfect.
Amid these challenges, we experienced God’s incredible blessings, particularly during Pioneer Daze in Sebring, Florida, a town rich in Christian heritage. The warmth and hospitality of this community encouraged us as we shared the gospel with hundreds of attendees. Six individuals made the life-changing decision to accept Jesus as their Savior. One particularly moving story involved Pete praying with a man named Dave. Overcome with emotion, Dave left our booth in tears and quickly returned with his pastor to share what had happened. This led to an invitation for us to teach an evangelism class at their church. Dave’s transformation was a powerful reminder that salvation isn’t about being “good enough” but about accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, as John 3:16 declares: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

Another memorable moment from Pioneer Daze was our interaction with a group representing their synagogue. Though no one in the group prayed to receive Jesus, they listened attentively to the story of the beads and gratefully accepted our materials. We trust that seeds of faith were planted in their hearts, and we look forward to seeing how God nurtures them in His timing.

The following day, we participated in our church’s anniversary celebration at The Rock Calvary Chapel in Port Charlotte. There, we had the joy of speaking with a woman who had just received Jesus as her Savior during the morning service. Her excitement and newfound faith were a beautiful testament to how God continues to move in the lives of His people.
As this year unfolds, we are reminded that even when life takes unexpected turns, God’s plan is always greater than our own. Through canceled events, disrupted schedules, and unforeseen challenges, we’ve witnessed His faithfulness in leading us exactly where we need to be. We are deeply grateful for your prayers, encouragement, and support, which sustain us as we continue to share the gospel and plant seeds for the Kingdom.
May God richly bless you as we move forward, trusting Him to establish our steps every day.
