This is a follow-up to an earlier article suggesting that FCFI volunteers could join Eight Days of Hope (EDOH) in their work in Pensacola. Following Hurricane Isaias, since beginning its Rapid Response efforts, the EDOH team has met many families and offered prayer, encouragement, and practical support.
As they have served, they have seen that the need remains great. EDOH is extending its Rapid Response through November 7, 2026, to continue helping families recover from the storm. This extended outreach provides more opportunities for volunteers to show Christ’s love through compassionate service.

October 15 – November 7, 2026
Beyond the debris and damaged homes are people who need to know someone cares. EDOH seeks to help families experience the love of Jesus through the way volunteers show up, listen, pray, and serve.
During this response, volunteers will help tarp roofs, clear debris, cut dangerous trees, sort belongings alongside families, and assist with other recovery needs.
