Mule Day: Following God’s Direction in Calvary, Georgia

God has a remarkable way of guiding us to where we are needed most. The annual Mule Day event in Calvary, Georgia, has become a testament to this truth. The connection began three years ago at the Sunbelt Ag Expo when Pastor John Paul Kasik, Director of the Grady County Baptist Association, visited the FCFI tent. Struck by the effectiveness of the Walking Stick outreach, Pastor Kasik extended an invitation for FCFI to partner with his association at Mule Day.

Since that initial conversation, the event has flourished into a significant ministry opportunity. With a location generously provided by Pastor Kasik and his team near the Mule Day property—free of charge—our outreach has shared the gospel with over 1,300 people in the past two years. Many have found reassurance in God’s promises, while others have made life and eternity-changing commitments to Christ for the first time.

This partnership reminds us of an essential truth: our role in ministry is to listen for God’s direction, go where He leads, and trust Him with the results. When we are faithful, He always proves His faithfulness in return.

We are grateful to Bill and Kathy Brown and Patrick and Ada Bielansky for their dedication to this ministry. Their teamwork brought the message of hope to many during Mule Day. A special thanks also goes to Walter and Becky Powell, who generously hosted the team at their fish camp, ensuring they had a comfortable place to rest during the event.
