Hurricane Relief continues: Fifteen FCFI members spent the week of November 5-10 at Reality Ranch in Zolfo Springs, FL. This was the 8th year of serving at the ranch with the normal pressure washing, painting, and cleaning. However, Hurricane Irene added tree removal, fence building, and roof repairs.
The group was blessed on Sunday morning to attend the cowboy church service at the ranch with special music provided by “The Jayc Harold Band. This group has performed at the “Grand Old Opry.” An uplifting message was brought to us by Rodney Hammerstrom, Davis, SD. Rodney was injured in a horse accident as a teenager and has traded his desire to accumulate belt buckles for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ on weekends.
A great week of work as FCFI was able to help in disaster relief at the ranch. Some of the volunteers were a little tired after their week of work at ECHO the previous week, but still had the heart to serve.
Other work was accomplished by Roy Upson, Mohawk NY. Roy is a lifetime mechanic and always has repair jobs waiting for him at the ranch.
