Pastor Brown came to Nightengale Grove Baptist Church in 2005, having been raised in this area near New Market, Jamaica. He and Jackie have been married for over 25 years and have been blessed with three children. Pastor Brown was educated at Fairview Baptist Bible College and Luther Rice Seminary. He has a two-fold ministry of singing and preaching the Word. He is also a partner in the GAP program of the Association of Baptist for World Evangilism. Jackie is a graduate of West Indies University and Moravian College of Jamaica. She teaches accounting at the local high school and is leader of the Children’s ministry at the church.
Our last visit to Nightengale Grove Baptist Church as an FCFI group was in February of 2011. The community center was almost complete after 9 years. Several other groups worked on the project during these years, and it was the combined effort of the body of Christ that has made it possible. In 2011, we put in the windows and did finishing work on the interior. Currently, we are working on a project list for the 2018 trip.
The immediate focus is on the pastor’s house located immediately above the church. The tin roof has rusted through in many areas, and someparts have torn loose from the rafters completely. We won’t know the total extent of the damage to the rafters or the interior of the house untill our arrival. Please be in prayer for God to provide the people, materials, and wisdom to complete this project.
We would love to have you go with us. The cost is $500.00, with you arranging and purchasing your flight to Montego Bay on February 17th and return on the 24th. The $500.00 will go toward food for the week with the balance being used for project materials. If you are unable to go but wish to make a donation for project materials, it can be sent to the FCFI home office at PO Box 15 Lexington Ill. 61753 or submitted through the Donate button at the left.
