The Fellowship of Christian Farmers had a busy weekend at the Milwaukee Air and Water Show. This was the third year to be exhibiting at this show. Our tent was located right along the sidewalk along Lakeshore Dr. so there was plenty of foot traffic in front of our tent. Folks were stopping in and hearing about the Christian Farmer ministry and the gospel message all day long on both days. Plenty of workers were there to keep up with the demand and to give everyone a break from time to time as well.
This show is unique for FCFI in that the Fellowship never sought to exhibit there. It wasn’t on the radar, so to speak. It was the Air and Water Show that asked if FCFI would come and exhibit at their show. They wanted show goers to hear the gospel message of the walking sticks. This isn’t the first time that something like this has happened. In Acts chapter 10 we read that Peter was in Joppa and had no thoughts of going to Caesarea to preach. Instead, it was Cornelius in Caesarea that sent for Peter and asked him to come and share the Word of God. Just as Peter responded to Cornelius’ request, the Fellowship of Christian Farmers responded to the request that came from the Air and Water Show. So you could say that being at the Air and Water Show is a modern day version of Acts 10.
Always be faithful in whatever ministry you have. You never know what new door(s) will open up.
