Meet Amy Taylor: Serving Faithfully as FCFI’s New Ministry Operations Manager

Amy and Tim Taylor

Hello FCFI Family,

I’m so excited to introduce myself to the Fellowship of Christian Farmers community! My name is Amy Taylor, and I’m honored to serve as the new Ministry Coordinator Manager. When I received the offer for this position, I was thrilled. I’ve always loved organizing, creating colorful charts and calendars, and finding ways to make things efficient and fruitful. Taking something good and helping it reach its full potential brings me so much joy — and I’m eager to do that here at FCFI.

My family of four currently lives in Coldwater, Michigan, but we’re in the process of moving closer to work and our church community. For the past 13 years, I’ve served as the Executive Director of Life Together Nicaragua, a nonprofit ministry my husband and I founded while living in Nicaragua from 2012 to 2020. Those eight years on the mission field were life-changing. Nicaragua and its people have a special place in my heart — it runs deep in my veins.

After returning to the U.S. in 2020, I continued to oversee the ministry and build up a strong local team of Nicaraguan leaders to carry the work forward. Life hasn’t been without challenges these past five years, but through it all, God has been so faithful.

Amy shares a joyful moment with a young girl in Nicaragua, where she and her family served for eight years through their ministry, Life Together Nicaragua

One of my proudest moments came in December 2024, when I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Bible: Theology from Liberty University. Going back to college after more than 30 years definitely made me feel my age — but I did it, and I truly loved every minute of it (well, except maybe my Research Writing class!).

In my spare time, I enjoy simply being home with my family. I love writing, reading my Bible, and indulging in anything sweet — especially chocolate. You might also find me riding my husband’s Harley, feeding and caring for neighborhood stray cats, or planning my next trip to Disney World.

Now, let me introduce you to my wonderful family. My husband, Tim, works for ConAgra Foods as a Maintenance Supervisor. We have two amazing sons, both Liberty University graduates. Our oldest, Remington, recently moved to Florida and works at Disney World, while pursuing a future in Criminal Justice. Our youngest, Dylan, just graduated this past May and plans to join the military early next year to serve his country.

Right: A proud moment at Liberty University, celebrating Dylan’s graduation — both sons are Liberty alumni!

We’re also blessed with three furry family members — our cats Beast, Simon, and Ms. Frodo (affectionately called Lil’ Miss).

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to join the Fellowship of Christian Farmers family. My heart’s desire is to serve faithfully, using the gifts God has given me to support the mission and people of FCFI. Thank you for welcoming me into this incredible community.

Serving Him Faithfully,

Amy Taylor
