In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, which struck Jamaica on October 28, 2025, the Fellowship of Christian Farmers International (FCFI) witnessed communities face immense devastation. Homes were destroyed, crops flattened, landslides triggered, and flooding disrupted thousands of lives. FCFI immediately responded through Operation Jamaica, bringing hope, restoration, and the love of Christ to those affected.
Building on that mission, FCFI is hosting a Zoom Prayer Fellowship, where team members who went on the Jamaica disaster response will share their experiences, reflections, and stories of God’s faithfulness in the midst of crisis.
Highlights from Operation Jamaica
During the mission trip, our volunteers accomplished incredible feats in service to the communities of Saint Elizabeth Parish:
- Church Construction: Led by Jason Douthwaite, the team began and completed the framing of a church, holding a dedication service on the day of departure.
- Infrastructure Repair: Rebuilt portions of concrete walls and prepared the roof for replacement at another church.
- Parsonage Renovation: For Pastor Dorant Brown’s parsonage, the team installed a new ceiling, remodeled the interior, added electrical wiring and plumbing, and built new cabinets—the hurricane had destroyed the roof and interior.
Pictures and stories from the trip will be shared during the Zoom fellowship, giving participants a firsthand view of God’s work and the impact of compassionate service.
Your prayers and support make a tangible difference. Whether through volunteering, giving, or simply lifting these communities before the Lord, you are part of God’s work of restoration!
